Erin Bell is a Program Coordinator at Clinical Trials Ontario, supporting the REB Qualification Program and additional initiatives related to the CTO Streamlined Research Ethics Review System. Prior to this role, Erin served as Ethics and Regulatory Team Leader at the NCIC Clinical Trials Group.

Erin has been involved with a number of harmonization initiatives, including collaboration with the British Columbia Cancer Agency (BCCA) REB and Ontario Cancer Research Ethics Board (OCREB) to develop a harmonized consent form template, and also the Network of Networks (N2)/Canadian Association of Research Ethics Boards (CAREB) committee tasked with developing REB Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Erin has worked with numerous REBs across Canada, and a variety of multi-centre research ethics oversight models. She has a strong background in Informed Consent Form development, and is highly experienced with interpreting and applying the regulations and guidelines governing the conduct of clinical trials in North America.

Erin holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Life Sciences and a M.Sc. in Anatomy and Cell Biology, both from Queen’s University.
