St. Michael’s researcher at the forefront of the COVID-19 global response
Dr. John Marshall is the Canadian lead investigator in the REMAP-CAP trial, and a key player in the World Health Organization (WHO) Solidarity Trial, both of which are global trials evaluating treatments for COVID-19. Planning for REMAP-CAP began in 2011. Experience with the SARS and H1N1 convinced Dr. Marshall and his colleagues that in order to respond adequately to the next pandemic, it was necessary to have trial architecture up and running before the pandemic arrived.Learn More
